Elizabeth (Liza) Goldblatt, PhD, MHA/PA has been involved in the Interprofessional Education/Collaborative Practice (IPE/PC) movement for over 30 years, including working with mainstream/conventional medical providers and the complementary and integrated health (CIH) care providers in collaborative research, educational and clinical settings. On behalf of ACIH, she serves on the National Academy of Medicine’s Global Forum for Global Innovations in Health Professional Education. She is currently an educational consultant in IPE/CP.
Dr Goldblatt is one of the founding members of ACIH. She was the first ACIH Vice-Chair. She then served as Chair of the ACIH board from 2007-2015. She served as the Acting Executive Director of the Academic Collaborative for Integrative Health (ACIH; formerly ACCAHC) from July 2015-April 2018. She was on the leadership team of the University of Arizona’s HRSA funded project, the National Center for Integrative Primary Healthcare and was on the curriculum team that created the initial Duke Leadership Program in Integrative Health. . She teaches integrative health and medicine systems at several colleges and presents at various national conferences.
Dr Goldblatt served as both the president and vice-president of the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (formerly the CCAOM). Goldblatt also co-chaired the Education Committee of the North American Acupuncture/OM Council and served on the Board of Trustees for Pacific University. From 1988-2003, Goldblatt was president of the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) She served as Provost, Vice President of Academic Affairs and Director of Institutional Assessment at ACTCM from 2004-2012. A leader in the CIH field, she has worked in various positions - on committees, task forces and boards - to promote and educate on collaborative, team-based, patient-centered care that includes emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion and well-being.
Dr. Goldblatt has a Master’s in Public Administration/Health Administration (MPA/HA) from Portland State University, Portland, OR, and she earned her PhD from UCLA, Los Angles, California, USA.
