Survey Instruments and Development 

Several institutions have developed various instruments to measure outcomes from EIP programs. 

Development of Assessment tools

Development and Psychometric Evaluation of an Evidence-Based Practice Questionnaire for a Chiropractic Curriculum (2012)
This publication describes the development process, challenges, and success of an assessment tool to measure outcomes of EIP programs in a Doctor of Chiropractic program at the University of Western States. The instrument measures attitudes, skills and knowledge with a focus on knowledge. Table 2 (pg. 15) provides knowledge domains used in development, and Tables 3 (pg. 16) & 4 (pg.17), review the difficulty and discrimination scores for two versions of the instrument. Attitudes and interests toward research among students at two colleges of acupuncture and Oriental medicine (2010)
This publication details surveys for the evaluation of student attitudes from both OCOM and the New England School of Acupuncture. Sample survey questions are provided in Table 1 (pg. 11).

NPREP Survey

Learning activities to enhance research literacy in a CAM college curriculum. (2009)
This publication describes an evaluation process for students and presents a point system for proficiency scoring at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (Table 6, pg. 53).

A Train the Trainer Model for Integrating Evidence-Based Medicine into a Complementary and Alternative Medicine Training Program (2011)
This publication provides an overview of the developmental process for a faculty training program course entitled "Principles of EBM for CAM Professionals" at the National College of Natural Medicine. Table 3 (pg. 91) provides sample assessment questions.
